Terrorist attacks-An attempt to sabotage India's trade and image

The recent terrorist attack in Mumbai is an attempt to sabotage India's image and disrupt trade and development in India.It is an attempt to signal world that India is no longer a favoured investment destination.

These people spreading fear and hatred are not against any particular country or race but, they are against entire humanity:they are against peace and development.

But,India needs to ammend its laws and enhance its security arrangements for sure.Lives shall not be treated so cheap.

A xerox education system

While our system claims education to be the hallmark of perfectionism,the education setup revolves around the pivot of economic freedom only, neglecting emotional, intellectual and psychological freedom. A system with more focus on virtual skills than practical skills; A system intending to generate more managers and few entrepreneurs, more administrators and few technicians. The factory prototype schools create identical personalities from different children, killing natural reasoning and self worth in them. Exams and grading system instill a deep sense of failure in a child. When success becomes a must in a limited timeframe, the possibility of exploring innovative ideas and methods is lost. This child expectedly looks for a secure career option when he grows up. No matter how skilled and gifted the person is, this fear of failure captures his risk taking ability. Investing in an MBA degree seems more lucrative and secure option than investing in a startup. Simply because former is a more secure option. More secure and less satisfactory. But, even in the absence of will, wish permeates deep in psyche. A wish to create and explore and, to use ones’s abilities and opportunities to the fullest. A wish to live for a reason and not die serving borrowed setups and ideas. The result is schizophrenic, dissatisfied workforce.

Changing family structure in India.

Last two decades have drastically changed Indian social senario.A sudden shift from joint to nuclear to single parent or childless families is apparent.In such a situation dealing with financial, social and moral obligations is becoming increasingly difficult for the earning member of family.Be it time,location or desired attention, the earning members find themselves stuck in middle of conflicting responsibilities.And, even if they chose one of them, the other side always hanker for attention.

Where to compromise becomes the decision point and family appears as the easier solution.But, this decision makes the compromised party the detached or distressed one.The problem aggrevates when the family members have to relocate to distant lands.Manageable problems such as time,money and attention shifts to serious problems of security and health issues.

Aware N Alive is an effort to create an extended family system wherein we take care of parents while their children are away from home.This organization is an attempt to link distant members of a family and share their responsibilities and feelings at the same time.
